Successful Experiences and Lessons from Conservation Agriculture Worldwide

Since 2008/2009, conservation agriculture (CA) cropland area has been expanding globally at an annual rate of more than 10 M ha per year. In 2015/2016, the total CA was 180.4 ha, corresponding to 12.5% global area. 2018/2019, 205.4 14.7% The spread in Asia, Africa, and Europe recent years because farmers are becoming better organized working together networking. More attention resources being allocated by stakeholders towards supporting adopt generating new knowledge improve their performance. Globally, expansion remains largely farmer-driven become a multi-stakeholder movement comprising formal informal networks national international levels involving individuals institutions public, private, civil sectors. Several lessons from elaborated responding questions: (i) Why three interlinked principles universally applicable? (ii) does work sustainably optimally? (iii) deliver ecosystem services? (iv) is valid alternative agricultural paradigm for sustainable development? (v) What sufficient conditions scaling mainstreaming CA?
